Wyeth, The Paddle Pup!

Wyeth & me.

This is my on-going tribute to how my dog enriches my life,

each and every day.

September 2, 2010

Oh, and if you want to know how I'm doing throwing the bumper for her, check out my newest blog:  "Wyeth has Patience".   (My real name, by the way.)

wyeth

wyeth(Above) Wyeth's first encounter with Canadian geese.   Her natural instinct to point took over and, yes, she went after the birds.  Furtively she swam out over 50 yards;  when it became apparent that she was on a mission, I called "Wyeth, come!" and reluctantly she did just that.  My little hunter.  Just precious.

Champlain Valley Fair

Essex Junction, Vermont

August 28 - September 6

Finals - Monday, September 6, 2010

Wyeth came in second

place with a jump of 18'9"

This was her first involvement with "Big Air" competition - over the course of the 10 days, she competed against 67 dogs!  As a 9-month old puppy,

Wyeth was amazing!

5 blue ribbons, 2 red ribbons

and, of course,

this fancy ribbon for

"Big Air" 2nd Place

Semi-Pro Finals!

That's right - since she is consistently jumping between 18' - 21.6", she has moved up to the semi-pro dock dog level.

Thanks to David and Debbie Danforth for their support at the finals ...

Only her third day participating in the Dock Dog's "Big Air", Wyeth jumps her record - 18'11" to win that day's competition!

Only nine months old and she has a blue ribbon!   WOW!

Chef Phoebe was on-hand to lend assistance with the photography!     (Picture taken 9/1/10)
