This is my on-going tribute to how my dog enriches my life,
each and every day.

The start ...
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to our newest web site page - dedicated entirely to my new puppy, Wyeth.
This little German Wirehaired Pointer is now 3 and a half months old. I brought her home with me on the plane at 8 weeks of age from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Packed in a little travel bag, she flew under the seat in front of me for over 11 hours, never once letting out a wimper or bark. Amazing. She is amazing, if I do say so myself. A truly wonderful little girl from incredible breeders - Janet Nahorn and Barbara Grygiel of Mason Creek Kennel.
It was in late October of last year that I began my search for a breed that would fit my lifestyle & personality. After hours & hours of researching on the Web, I decided on a German Wirehaired Pointer. But from where?
It seemed that I looked at dozens of breeders throughout the U.S. over the course of a month when I stumbled upon Mason Creek. That was it! The more I read about Janet, "Jan", the more I was convinced that I wanted one of her puppies. I'll never forget the November evening I snuck upstairs to call her - obviously, not thinking I would be there very long. She was so nice, extremely gracious but turned me down flat, cold! "Sorry, but I have never and will never sell a puppy to a non-hunter," she said.
I pressed her. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that I begged her: "I wish you would think about it ... please sell me one of your puppies." We talked for a long time that night and apparently forged a relationship which melted her resolve about Wyeth not hunting. And when I finally said good night to her I knew two things - that I was going to become the proud owner of a Mason Creek puppy and I had just talked to an incredible individual whom I wanted to be my friend.
And, she is ...

(Thanks, Dad - You made me smile.)
German Wirehaired Pointers usually can be distinguished by their facial hair called "furnishings". Notice how Wyeth's beard and mustache are beginning to come in around her muzzle. Here she is 3 and a half months old.
