Wyeth in her First Dock Dog "Big Air" Competition

After only two practice sessions in the official Dock Dog pool at the Champlain Valley Fair, Wyeth does phenomenal!  This WCAX video (aired 8/30/10) showcases Judge Linda Leavitt and her wonderful dog, Madison.  Great story!

Wyeth Preparing for the Dock Dog Competition

8-1/2 month old German Wirehaired Pointer pup practices for the upcoming Dock Dog competition.    One of the rules of the "Big Air" competition is that only one handler can be on the dock with the dog so the "stay" command will be useful!   Of course, we had to say hello to our friend, Jan of Mason Creek Kennel, in the video ...

Dock Dogs will be at the Champlain Valley Fair this year - we're entered in 3 events!  Come & cheer us on!

 

 

 

Granny's Attic & its Cupola

The cupola was lifted off our historic Granny's Attic today;  drew quite the crowd.   Repairs are on the way ... watch here to see it land safely on the ground!

Wyeth Conquers the Stairs

The new Paddle Pup learns that going down, as well as up, the stairs is a good thing!  Wyeth is an 8 week old German Wirehaired Pointer that Mandy recently brought home from Mason Creek Kennel in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

40 Years of Wedding Bliss

     Daughters Kate & Carrie sing the

     Paddle Bistro.   The Besterman's began

     their 40th anniversary celebration with

     an early morning treasure hunt.   The

     Paddle was the first clue.    Anne &

     Chuck, along with the family - and

     friends from Lancaster, PA - have truly

     become specials friends of ours.

     We wish Anne & Chuck many more

Joe Gets His Head Shaved for a Good Cause

Joe Sinagra, Executive Officer of the Home

Builders & Remodelers   Association of

Northern Vermont, gets his head shaved during The Charlie & Ernie Show Thursday morning, August 19th.  Sponsored by C.U.F.F. Cancer (Cops United for Fighting Cancer),  Joe & WVMT radio raised $1,800 for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a camp for children with cancer in South Hero, Vermont.

Our Budding Rose

Rose sings  The National Anthem during our recent fundraiser for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.   I wish I had videotaped the entire song ... she was amazing!   We are very proud of Rose (see her bio in our Paddle Crew page);  she is a finalist in Miss Vermont Teen USA!  Rose needs to raise a little money for her pageant expenses... if anyone would like make a contribution to "our budding rose fund", please email me: bluepaddle@surfglobal.net

Annie Perez has been with Phoebe in the kitchen for over three years.    Truly a Paddle favorite, we will miss her tons!
